Validating Certs
The validation feature allows you to run checks for your certs to validate the entered information and ensure that is as accurate as possible.
To start validating the certificate, click the validation icon at the top right of the certificate.
Each certificate can have multiple sets of validation rules.
If you have multiple rules for your selected cert, you will now be able to choose which validation rule you want to use, then press ‘Select’.
Now the validation section will appear at the bottom of the certificate.
Press the arrow keys to cycle through the failed rules.
Press the refresh button to apply your changes and re-run the validation checks.
You will see a brief description under each failed rule to explain the issue.
You can edit which rules you want to use for each cert type in the validation settings.
Once you’ve corrected every failed rule, your validation will be completed. This message will appear:
If you’re happy with the validation, even with some failed rules remaining, you can select the tick button to finish the process.
This message will appear if you haven’t corrected all the failed rules:
You can spellcheck the certificate by pressing the spellcheck cert button and mark the certificate as validated by clicking ‘Mark Validation Complete’.
After you save and close, if the certificate has passed all rules, it will be marked as validated in the cert list.
