Upgraded Notifications [Webinar]

This webinar walks through the notifications module in Clik Service. We’ll show you some different examples of the types of notifications you can create, including low stock alerts, job completion messages and more.

Q. Will there be any integration to Google Business in the future?

A. We have been working with the Google APIs to enable email and calendar sign-in on our roadmap, but Google Business isn’t currently planned. If you would like to tell us more about you would like us to integrate with Google Business, please email our Product Manager.

 

Q. Can you email a customer the day before an engineer is planned to visit to let them know to expect the engineer?

A. Yes. You can use timed notifications to send an email notification to the customer.

When creating the notification, select the ‘Job’ module and include the ‘Start Date’ as the trigger property. Then configure the email and select a customer contact under the ‘Contact Look Up’ drop-down when adding recipients to your email.

 

Q. Could we set a flag so only some customers are sent a reminder the day before?

A. Yes, when creating a new notification, you can specify which customers you want to create the reminder for using the conditions properties. Under the ‘Lookup Fields’ drop-down, select ‘Customer’ then select the customer from your CRM using the orange folder icon.

 

Q. Will they get a notification on Clik Remote as our engineers use that and not Clik Service?

A. Yes, Clik Remote will show internal notifications. You can find them by clicking on the bell icon in Clik Remote.

 

Q. Can you send the notification with more than one job attached?

A. You can only attach one PDF template to a notification.

 

Q. Can you set to be notified if a job status hasn’t changed for a period of time?

A. No, this is not currently possible.

 

Q. Can you send an engineer a plan for the following day – one email showing all the jobs assigned to them – via email?

A. Unfortunately, no. It will be one email per job, but you can include timestamp tags to the notifications, so engineers know what time the jobs are scheduled for.

 

Q. Is there a webinar available to show how to link a certificate from Clik Cert to a customer job notification?

A. In Clik Service, if you link a Clik Cert certificate to a job, you can select the ‘Include PDF of Certificate’ option when configuring an email notification. You will need to be set up with the Shared Database solution to do this. Please get in touch if you need more information.

 

Q. Re the auto reminder for appointments – where in Clik is the email address taken from?

A. If you are using Microsoft 365, you will need to set up your preferred shared mailbox. It’s important it’s a shared mailbox.

It’s also possible to use STMP, but you must get your SMTP details from your ISP or email provider. We strongly recommend using Microsoft Office 365 for notifications though.

Q. Does Clik need its own Microsoft license/email address for these to work?

A. You need your own Microsoft 365 licenses, to connect Clik Service with Microsoft 365.

 

Q. After a job sheet has been sent to an engineer, if it is updated afterwards would the engineer automatically receive the updated job sheet?

A. If you are using Clik Jobs, you will need to sync the updated job sheet in order for the engineer to receive it.
