Updating Certificate Start Numbers
In the Clik Cert software when you number a certificate you will automatically be assigned a number starting from 1, the next cert of the same type to be numbered will be given the next number in sequence, aka 2. This guide will explain how you can update the start numbers for your certificates.
- Go to Edit > Settings
- Go to the ‘Certificate Numbers’ tab on the left-hand side.
From here you can scroll to find the cert type and then update the number on the right-hand side.
For the example below I have updated BFG-SCMC’s start numbers from ‘1’ to ‘1000’, I then hit ‘Update Start Numbers’ in the top left and okay in the bottom right to save my changes. The next time I number a BFG-SCMC cert the new number sequence will start from 1000.
Please note that if you update your start numbers and complete some certificates and then update the start numbers back to 1 after changing it to a higher number, when your numbered certs catch up with the previous sequence, for example 1000, they will not include those numbers due to them already being in use.
