Setting Up Field Users
This article will explain how you can set up your engineers as field users in the NICEIC Cert Software. This will allow the user to log into Clik Cert Electrical.
If you need to set up new office mode users, please see this guide. You can also grant field access to existing users by following these steps.
You will need to complete this process in the main NICEIC Cert Software database.
Before You Start
You must be logged in as the admin account or as a user that has appropriate staff privileges before you can complete the following steps. See more about privileges here.
In the office software, go to View > Staff.
Here you will be able to view all your staff. A van icon will appear next to field users in the staff list:
To create a new user, select Add Staff Member > Add field engineer.
This will then prompt you to add the name and password for the new user. Fill in the details and click ‘Ok’.
This will then create the new user and automatically mark the user as an engineer in the ‘Details’ tab.
Click ‘Save’ to confirm any changes and sync the user details to the cloud.
When creating a new field user, will be notified of the pin code required to log in for the first time. You can also find steps on finding a new pin code in our obtaining a pin code support site article.
Now your users are set up, the engineer will then be able to log into Clik Cert Electrical with the password and username set up (the first name and surname of the user will be the username when logging in).
