Setting Up Dashboard Widgets
In Clik Remote there are two types of widgets you can create for your dashboard: a counter widget and a chart widget. This guide will show you how to create both.
These steps will need to be completed in the main Clik Service software.
Counter Widgets
Counter widgets or “Blocks” can display the value of a chosen property in Clik Remote.
Go to Settings > Clik Remote > Manage Users & Settings.
Select ‘New Counter Widget’.
You will then be asked to select a report for the counter widget to use as a source. In this example, we are going to create a widget to display the number of incomplete jobs, so will select ‘Job Summary’. After selecting one, click ‘Next’.
You will then need to select the criteria. For our incomplete jobs example, select ‘Complete’, ‘=’ and ‘No’ in the <select field> boxes. After selecting the criteria, click ‘Next’.
Now select the property you wish to get the value of. In this case, we are selecting ‘Count’, in order to count all jobs that have not been completed, then click ‘Next’.
You can then label your widget and assign it a colour. Change the value type and click ‘Next’.
Now you can establish who will be able to see and use this widget on their Clik Remote dashboard. Simply tick the box next to your chosen users and click ‘Next’.
You have now created your counter widget. Find out how to add widgets for your Clik Remote users here.
Chart Widgets
Chart widgets are a great way to see visual reports straightaway on your dashboard.
If you’ve already created summary reports, you can also use them for chart widgets. If you need to create new reports, follow these steps first.
Go to Settings > Clik Remote > Manage Users & Settings and click on ‘New Chart Widget‘.
Select your report from the drop-down list. Then select the users who will be able to view that report in their Clik Remote dashboard. Click on the relevant tick boxes and when you are happy, click ‘Ok’.
You will now be able to give your Clik Remote access to the widget on their dashboard.
