Setting Up Dashboard Widget Thresholds
Thresholds will allow your counter widgets to change colour if they hit a value above or below the given threshold.
For example, if you put a threshold below a certain number (e.g. 10), the widget could change colour when the value is below that set threshold (e.g. 7). It also works if you put a threshold above a certain number.
These steps will need to be completed in Clik Service.
To configure a threshold on one of your widgets, go to Settings > Clik Remote> Manage users & Settings.
Next, go into ‘Widget Manager’.
If you need to create new widgets first, please see this article.
Select the widget you want to put a threshold on. In this case, we will double-click ‘Invoice value this month’.
You’ll now be in the filtering screen. If you’re happy with the filtering, then click ‘Next’. In this case, we filtered invoices by month.
You will now have the option to select the property you wish to get the value of. For this report ‘Total Nett’ is fine and we will want it to be the sum of all those invoices for the month.
Click ‘Next’ to continue.
Now we can look at the threshold settings. First, tick the box ‘Enable threshold action’ and add a value, in this example we will put in 5000.
You can now select a colour. In this case, we have selected green.
Next, we need to decide when we want the colour to change. In this case, we want the colour to change when the threshold is above 5000. Click ‘Next’.
Now you can select the users you wish to have access to the widget. Tick the users and click ‘Finish’.
So, that’s it. You will now see your counter widget for ‘invoice value this month’ change when the Total Nett of all invoices goes above £5000.
