Saving, Emailing and Printing Certs on Windows
You can email, print or save your certs in the Windows version of Clik Cert Electrical.
First, you will need to give your field engineers access to create and print PDFs from the office software.
To do this go to View > Staff.
Next, select the field engineer you want to create PDF, select ‘Privileges’ and tick the ‘Allow’ box on the ‘Can output certificates (Print, PDF)’ privilege.
Now that’s done let’s see how you can create the PDF.
Go to your ‘Certificates‘ tab, select a certificate and right-click on the certificate, select ‘Email’, ‘Save’ or ‘Print’. We’ll go through these options in more detail below.
Emailing Certs
Once you click on ‘Email As’ you can now choose ‘PDF’ or ‘Zip’.
The file will now be generated, and the send email screen will be displayed.
You can email a contact from the client company by selecting their name from the drop-down under ‘Select Contact‘ or enter the email manually in the box under ‘Enter Email‘.
Fill in the details and click ‘Send’ when you are happy.
Your cert file will then be emailed to your selected recipient(s).
Printing Certs
Right-click on the cert in your cert list and click ‘Print’. You will then be shown the print preview. To print select the print icon at the top of the screen.
If you need to print the circuit detail schedule, see the step-by-step guide here.
Saving Certs As PDFs
Once you click on ‘Save As’ you can now choose ‘PDF’ or ‘Zip‘. This will then prompt you to save the Zip or PDF to a location on your field device.
Next, you will see confirmation it’s been saved, you can either open the location where the file is saved or close.
These features were added in update v1.0.48.8, you will need to be running the office software update to get be able to access the new additions. Make sure to also update Clik Cert Electrical to the latest build.
