Importing Appliances and Tests CSVs
Creating PAT Test CSVs
This article will show you how you can import your appliances and test results via CSV into a PAT or EET cert in the NICEIC Cert Software.
First, you need to be in a PAT cert or an EET cert. In this case, we will use a PAT cert. To do this go to ‘Create Cert’ and select the PAT cert.
Once in the Certificate go to Tools > Import Appliances and Tests.
Now you can decide to either create a CSV and copy and paste your results or select a CSV you have already created. If your data uses different column names, you will need to contact us to discuss your CSV being a mapped option for future use.
In this case, we are going to ‘Create a CSV’ and copy-paste results from another sheet.
First click on ‘Create CSV File’ and save the file to your computer.
Next, open the saved CSV and fill in the results or copy and paste the column fields you require from another spreadsheet. An example of how it should typically look is shown below.
Importing the Appliances and Tests CSV
To import the CSV you have created, select the CSV file by clicking ‘Select CSV File’ and find the CSV file on your computer.
Once you’re happy with that, you can select ‘Clear all existing rows?’, to clear any rows in the existing certificate you are in.
The last section on this screen allows you to ‘Select Import Mapping’. As we are using the default CSV we have provided you won’t need to select an import mapping.
However, if you do export your current appliances and test results from another CSV file from a different application, please contact your account manager and we can look to map those fields with the PAT testing fields we provide.
Once you’re happy, click ‘Next’ and ‘Next’ again.
The results will now be ready to be saved. Just click ‘Finish’.
Let’s check the results in the cert by looking at the ‘APPLIANCES AND TESTS’ section.
That’s it. The PAT appliances and tests are all imported into a PAT cert.
