How to Validate a Certificate
The validation feature is a handy tool that runs a check on your certificate and lets you know if everything is filled out correctly. To use the validation tool, open a certificate of your choice, press the three dots in the top right-hand corner of your cert, and then ‘Validate’.

The software checks your certificate and provides two lists. The first list shows all the failed validation rules. This could be because the value in that box is incorrect, or it isn’t filled out. You can click on the fails on the right-hand side, and it will highlight the relevant box on the cert, allowing you to ensure everything is filled out in the cert as you go.

Once you are happy with all your edits, you can press the ‘Re-validate’ button, and the software will re-validate your cert and update all of the failed rules you have filled in to passed rules.

The second list shows all the validation rules that have passed. Once they have all passed, your certificate has been successfully validated.
