Going ‘Offline’
What is offline mode in Clik Compliance? Offline mode is a feature that allows you to work on your certificates in areas with poor or no internet connection. It can also be used to protect you from any random connection dropouts.
Offline mode provides limited access to your database, so some features will be unavailable. The focus is to give your engineers a way of working on their certificates while on-site.
To activate offline mode, you must first be online and have a stable internet connection. Once you are logged in and can see your database, navigate to the top right corner of the site and press ‘Take Offline’.

You are now able to take certificate templates offline by clicking on them in the list provided, when selected, a tick will appear. In my example below, I have selected three certificate templates, this will give me access to create new certificates of that type while in ‘offline mode’. You will not be able to access existing certificates of that type while in ‘offline mode’.
If you’re editing an existing certificate when your connection drops or goes offline, that certificate will go offline with you, regardless of whether you had previously taken that type of certificate offline (Please note that if someone else is online and currently editing the same certificate then any changes made will be prioritised based on who made the edits most recently).

Once you have finished editing your certificate and can get back online, re-opening your cert will prompt a message notifying you that the changes made in offline mode have been detected, and the cert will now be updated.

Available features in ‘offline mode’
In ‘offline mode’, you will only have access to the certificate’s module and will not have access to certain certificate features, such as adding an address from the address book, applying a number, or completing certificates. This is due to limited database access. Full functionality will be restored once you’re back online. Any feature that is not available will prompt a grey text box to appear when hovered over.
