Creating Stock Level Notifications
This article will explain how to create a notification for low stock.
Before starting, you will need to have your reorder levels set up for the products you want this notification for. Please read this article on location stock, where you can add re-order levels.
First, on Clik Service go to Settings > Settings.
Select Communication > Notifications and click ‘Add’.
Now it’s time to select the module you want the notification to come from. In this case, we will filter by product and select ‘Product Location Quantity‘. You can search the module by typing under ‘Filter Modules’.
Give the notification a title under ‘Notification Title’.
Once selected, click ‘Next’.
Now we need to create the trigger property. In this example, the trigger will be ‘Available Qty Is Below Reorder Level’.
Click the ‘Select Property’ box and select the ‘Yes/No Fields’, then select ‘Available Qty Is Below Reorder Level’. For this notification, you don’t require a condition.
Click ‘Next’ to continue.
Now this has been set, we can decide on the type of action that will be used when the trigger has been triggered. The action can be an internal message, email, SMS or Microsoft Teams notification.
In this example, we will do an internal message. Select ‘Add New Action’ and select ‘Internal’.
Now it’s time to configure the message, click ‘Configure’.
First, add the staff member you want to get the notification by clicking on ‘Add Recipient’ and selecting the staff member.
Now we can create the text we want to show using text and tags. Tags will display the information from a product
To select a tag, click on ‘Insert Tags’ and select the tag you require, below is an example of a text message you may send out.
Click ‘OK’ then click ‘Finish’ to save and that’s your internal message saved and ready to go.
