Checking Your Microsoft .Net Version
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 (or higher) is required to run Clik software, including Clik Service, Clik Cert and NICEIC Cert Software.
Your PC or server should already have this version if you are running the latest Windows updates.
This article will show you one way of checking which version you are running, but there are a few different ways you can check this.
First, open File Explorer on your PC or server and navigate to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework.
Next, open the most recent version folder. In this case, we will double-click on ‘v4.0.30319’.
Then, find an application extension file ending in ‘.dll’, right-click on it and select ‘Properties’.
Navigate to the ‘Details’ tab and you will then be able to see the full details of the .NET Framework, including the file version.
If you are not running .NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher, you will need to run the latest Windows update.
If you need any further assistance with these steps, please contact your IT team.
