Backing up the Photos Folder
Please be aware, Clik Cert does not automatically back up your cert photos. It is your responsibility to maintain backups of your photo data. You can do this by using a third-party application or by copying it to an external drive like a USB memory stick.
If you have an IT company, please contact them for advice on how to back up your photo data on Clik Cert.
You can find the download location of your photos by going to Edit > Settings > Photos in the software.
The download location of your backup data is shown here. You can open the location by clicking on the popout button found next to the download location.
There are a number of ways you can back up this folder location.
Moving the folder location
You can move the photos data to a folder that is always backed up on your PC. If you do use this method, please make sure the new location is shared so all users can download photos to that location.
You will first need to copy the photos folder from the original location to the new location. You can drag and drop the folder as below:
To then change the location in the software, click on the search folder icon next to the download location and select a new location.
In this example, we have chosen the pictures folder that is backed up to OneDrive.
Backing up to an external device
Another way of backing up your data is to leave it in the current location and copy the ‘photos’ folder to an external hard drive or USB Stick.
Please be aware, that this method would have to be manual unless you have a third-party backup solution that will do this automatically for you.
To do this, first, find the photos download location by going to Edit > Settings > Photos.
The download location of your backup data is shown here. You can click on the popup icon to open the location.
Now, copy the ‘Photos’ folder from this location and then paste it to your external drive.
That’s it. That’s how to create backups of your photos data in Clik Cert.
