Adding Skills and Trades to Engineers
This feature will be available to all users soon.
This article will show you how to create and add skills and trades to engineers and use them in the engineer schedule. This will help schedule the right engineers for the right job.
To create trades, go to Settings > Settings.
Next, go to ‘Types’, right-click on ‘Trades’ and select ‘New Sub Item’.
Adding trades and skill levels to engineers
First, go to Settings > Staff.
Next, select the engineer you require and go to the ‘Zone/Skills‘ tab. Here you can add the selected work zone but also add the trade and relevant skill level.
Under the skills heading click ‘Add’, select the trade and the skill level. Once you’re happy with the skills and trades for the engineer click ‘Save’
Adding skills to a job template
You can add the skills and trades required to a type of job from a job template.
To do this, go to Modules > Job > Job Templates.
Select your job template and go to the ‘Skills’ tab.
To select your trade and skill level click ‘Add’ and then select ‘Trade’ under the trade column. Then select the skill level for that job template. Once you’re happy, click ‘Save‘.
Using trades and skills in the engineer schedule
First, go into the schedule, this can be done by going to Diary > Engineer’s Schedule or when assigning an engineer a job sheet.
You can then filter the schedule by trade (with skill levels) by selecting the ‘Trade’ dropdown.
