Adding Rates to Quotes
Before You Start
It’s important that you understand how rates work before adding them to quotes. If you haven’t used the rates system before, please read the support article on how to set up your rates and work hours.
To start, open your quote from the ‘Quotes‘ module and click on the ‘Rates‘ tab. Any rates already set up against the customer will be automatically shown.
To add a time item to the quote, click on the arrow next to ‘Time Items’ and select an option.
If the rates are not configured then only ‘Add item‘ will appear in the drop-down menu.
To edit the new time item, click on ‘Edit in grid’ and type the new values in the grid.
You can also double-click on the highlighted rate to edit it.
The rates screen also allows you to select either pre-defined rates from the central rates database or, if you click on ‘Custom‘, you can set a completely new rate. Any custom rate will only apply to this specific quote.
