Daniel’s company is an electrical contractor specialising in servicing and testing alongside electrical and mechanical installations. They work with a wide range of customers with a variety of projects, from small domestic jobs, to large commercial design and build projects.
They are a young team who are passionate about taking on apprentices and encouraging on-the-job learning to progress. They started out with three employees in June 2014 and have since grown to eighteen.
“I was struggling to organise tenders and quotations in time for deadlines. There was no system in place, meaning that I often found myself with three or four to finish and would have to work through the night to complete them on time. Also, all our engineers worked with paper job packs which were continually getting left behind onsite, in the van, at home or just lost. This was costing us valuable time”. Says Daniel Haley, Managing Director.
“I hadn’t used job management software before. But it had got to a point where I needed to introduce a system to organise both mine and my engineers time to become more productive. Also, to maintain the level of service I wanted to offer our clients, I needed to put in place something to help me control and organise our workload”.
