Daikin Air Conditioning has reinforced its relationship with specialist software developer Clik Ltd to issue Clik’s AC Calc software, the industry standard software for calculating heat losses and gains. Daikin will provide AC Calc to all its D1 Partners.
The software aims to make the process of designing systems as straightforward as possible. Using a simple floor plan tool, engineers can draw a room and then enter wall properties before producing detailed estimates. AC Calc also features a glass database, including the entire Pilkington range, to enable engineers to generate calculations for large glazed conservatories.
As well as a comprehensive list of Daikin’s equipment data, the software also contains details of global climates so it can be used anywhere in the world.
AC Calc, which was first developed in 1994 and has been continuously upgraded since was created by air conditioning specialists specifically for use by engineers. Since its launch, it has become widely acclaimed as the industry standard.
Geoff Adams, Managing Director of Clik Ltd, said: “We have had a long relationship with Daikin, which began when the company started using AC Calc in 1996. Since then we have worked on a number of different projects including developing bespoke software to support its products and services. We have also supplied Daikin’s D1 Partners with Clik Service, a version of our business management software.
“Daikin is one of the longest running users of AC Calc and we are delighted to be giving more air conditioning engineers the chance to benefit from the software through its network.”
