Meet Jake
I start my day driving to the office via the motorway and squeezing through the traffic of Bristol city centre, which usually takes me an hour. I never leave the house without my car keys. If you know me then you know I drive literally everywhere, no matter how close.
Once in the office, I get logged in and check for any messages and emails I received since the day before. Then I’ll grab a coffee and crack on with the day.
I’ll take lunch around midday and I’ll usually grab something from the shop (I am known for being partial to a Rustler’s). If it’s a Friday, then it’ll be something from one of North Street’s many takeaways to celebrate the end of the week.
I am the Template Designer at Clik. So, if you’ve had any quote, invoice or job sheet templates created or tweaked by us, then it is more than likely that you have spoken to me about it. I also create and tweak the certification forms for the NICEIC Cert Software (including the 18th Editon Amendment 2 certificates) and Clik Cert software.
I spend a lot of my day making bespoke certificates and templates for customers in our template builder. I also dabble in a couple of template related tickets when I can. Recently I’ve also been involved in testing the new Clik Service print template editor and helping beta customers use it.
Largely, I manage the template and certificate creation myself but collaborate a lot with the tech, sales and development teams to provide the best service to our customers.
My favourite part of the job is knowing customers will use what I’ve created in Clik software most days – if not every day – and the benefit it’ll bring them.
When the day is over, I take a spirited drive home and put on some Netflix, recently it has been Ozark.
I mostly listen to Emo Rap, Metalcore and Pop-Punk. According to Spotify, my favourite album is Holy Hell by Architects.
I don’t really read but my favourite film is Fast and Furious – Tokyo Drift and my favourite food is sushi.
