The 18th Edition Amendment 4 (BS 7671:2018) was officially published by the IET and BSI (read more here) on 15 April 2026, introducing important updates to electrical installation standards across the UK.
To ensure you remain compliant and up to date, Clik has released fully compatible 18.4 certificates, now ready to use within the software.
How to Access the New Certificates
Getting started is simple:
- Ensure your software is updated to version 1.0.73 or later (see version history here)
- Navigate to Help > Check for Certificate Updates
- Run the update to download the latest certificates
Once complete, you’ll be able to create and manage certificates aligned with Amendment 4 requirements.
Key Improvements in This Update
This release doesn’t just bring compliance, it also improves usability and workflow efficiency:
- Enhanced support for split observations tables in Amendment 4 certificates
- Improved observation library integration, making it easier to add and manage entries
- Smarter observation mapping when upgrading certificates from earlier editions
- C1 and C2 observations are now clearly separated from C3 and FI classifications
