Will I still have to purchase packs of certificates from NICEIC to print on?
No. Gas Certification Software allows you to print certificates directly onto plain paper. You will no longer have to purchase packs of certificates, once you are using the software you will only purchase certificate numbers.
Are there any ongoing costs involved?
There are no compulsory ongoing costs, there is however, an optional £50 per year fee (after a year) if you wish to continue to receive updates.
How will I know when an update has been released?
From within Gas Certification Software you can click 'Help', and 'Check for updates', this will tell you if you are using the latest version of the software, if not you can easily download the new version. You should also sign up to receive the monthly newsletters.
How many of my employees can use one copy of the software?
You can have as many of your employees using the software as you wish, although if you have only purchased one licence, only one employee will be able to use it at any one time.
Is NICEIC Certification Software networkable?
Yes, you can network the software and share the database amongst all users.
I’ve made a mistake, can I amend the certificate?
Gas Certification Software gives you the option to view or print a draft where you can then check the information you have entered. Once you have clicked ‘Complete’, your certificate will be finished and locked down with no further editing available. You will have used one of your certificate numbers. If you really need to unlock a completed certificate, you can call our support team.
Can I email a certificate with a signature?
You can upload an image of your signature to Gas Certification Software and apply this to a certificate. All signatures are password protected. Once you have applied your signature, you can email the certificate directly to your customer as a PDF.
A customer has asked me for a copy of their certificate, how can I find it?
Contained within the software is a customer database. Here you can store customer addresses, telephone numbers, contact details and all certificates for that customer will be linked to their account.
Can I send a certificate to an engineer onsite?
Yes you can, you can even send a part completed certificate from the office to an engineer onsite - and back again.

There is an easy to follow manual under ‘Help’ in Gas Certification Software, or you can click on ‘NICEIC News’ and then ‘Support’.
