Will I still have to purchase packs of certificates from NICEIC to print on?
No. NICEIC Certification Software allows you to print NICEIC certificates directly onto plain paper. You will no longer have to purchase packs of certificates, once you are using the software you will only purchase certificate numbers.

Are there any ongoing costs involved?
There are no compulsory ongoing costs. Once you have purchased the software, it is yours forever. All your updates are free for the first year and after that, there is an optional £80 per year fee if you wish to continue to receive and download updates. Apart from that all you would pay for are the certificate numbers you require.

I use a lot of continuation sheets, how much are these?
Continuation sheets are free as they are included in the software.

Is NICEIC Certification Software networkable?
Yes, you can network the software and share the database amongst all users.

How many of my employees can use one copy of the software?
You can have as many of your employees using the software as you wish, although if you have only purchased one licence, only one employee will be able to use it at any one time.

How can NICEIC Certification Software save me time?
NICEIC Certification Software has many time saving features to make your life easier.

There are quick fill short cut keys in the circuit details section of a certificate which will allow you to copy the above line of text, enter N/A in all blank fields and add new rows.

There is also a certificate template module that allows you to save a certificate as a template and re-open it with a new certificate number. Once you have saved a certificate as a template, you can re-use it as many times as you want. There is a similar feature which lets you save circuit details as templates.

Can I email a certificate with a signature?
You can upload an image of your signature to NICEIC Certification Software and apply this to a certificate. All signatures are password protected. Once you have applied your signature, you can email the certificate directly to your customer as a PDF.

I’ve made a mistake, can I amend the certificate?
NICEIC Certification Software gives you the option to view or print a draft where you can then check the information you have entered. Once you have clicked ‘Complete’, your certificate will be finished and locked down with no further editing available. You will have used one of your certificate numbers. If you really need to unlock a completed certificate, you can call our support team.

A customer has asked me for a copy of their certificate, how can I find it?
Contained within the software is a customer database. Here you can store customer addresses, telephone numbers, contact details and all certificates for that customer will be linked to their account.

Can I send a certificate to an engineer onsite?
Yes you can, you can even send a part completed certificate from the office to an engineer onsite - and back again.

Will I save money using NICEIC Certification Software?
You will save money when buying certificate numbers, rather than the pads of certificates. When purchasing pads of certificates you would also pay £5.95 for postage. When using NICEIC Certification Software you no longer need to purchase pads of certificates, you purchase electronic certificate numbers and print straight onto plain paper. Certificate numbers are typically between 35% - 40% cheaper than the pads. If you were to order two pads of 17DCN, paper pads would cost £27.24 + £5.95 postage = £33.19. Purchasing an equivalent quantity of certificate numbers would cost £17.02, giving an overall saving of £16.17 for 50 certificates! (All prices ex VAT).

I’ve run out of certificate numbers and I need to create a certificate...
