Cut down on paperwork with electronic gas certificates
Gas installers can now produce electronic gas safety certificates, cutting down on paperwork and making storing and retrieving information far simpler thanks to an upgrade to Clik’s service management software.
The update to Clik Service now eliminates the need for pre-printed stationery by producing standard Declaration of Safety certificates that comply fully with CORGI requirements.
The system records all test results for future reference and produces a PDF version so certificates can be stored and printed time and time again. A serial number is generated automatically and can be set to start at any point, integrating seamlessly with non-computerised records.
The certificates are also linked to job sheets so they can be related back to equipment used for each particular job.
Installers can modify the layout of the certificate to suit their needs and add or remove information as required. Several layouts can be stored covering both domestic and commercial uses for example.
According to Managing Director of Clik, Geoff Adams, the upgrade is a direct response to calls from gas installers themselves: “We often ask our software users what developments they would like to see to the products. When we asked our gas installer customers what they wanted, electronic gas certificates were top of the list.
“The benefits are enormous. No more paperwork, and information is stored permanently for future reference so it can be printed again when you need it.”
Electronic gas certificates are available as an upgrade to the existing Clik Service software, which helps small businesses and sole traders run their operations more efficiently. It is the only business management package available that helps you control every aspect of business, from contact management and job sheets through to producing the sales invoice. It also enables you to log every call, meeting and email along the way.
Specifically developed for service businesses like plumbing and heating, Clik Service includes features such as planned maintenance contract planning, engineer scheduling and plant and equipment databases.
The electronic gas certificates upgrade is free to existing users using Clik technical support.
